EV-Down CM
EV concentration kit for extracellular vesicles from cell culture conditioned media
An easy and quick method to concentrate EVs from cell culture media
EV-Down CM kit allows the fast isolation of extracellular vesicles (EVs) from cell culture media, without requiring ultracentrifugation. Cell culture medium containing EVs is incubated overnight with a reagent that captures water molecules, leading to the precipitation of EVs. By low-speed centrifugations, EVs are pelleted and can be resuspended in the desired buffer, in the desired volume.
Isolated EVs can be used for several downstream applications like protein quantification, Western blot, functional assays or can be further purified using chromatography.
Protocol steps
- Overnight incubation with reagents for EV precipitation
- Low speed centrifugations for EV pelleting
- EV resuspension

Strengths of EV-Down CM
- Robust kit, components fine-tuned to obtain high EV recovery yield and minimal protein contamination.
- Obtention of concentrated EVs to perform direct analysis without additional purification: fluorescence/luminescence assays, Western blot, …
- No need of ultracentrifuge, only low-speed centrifuge equipment required.
